Yes! You can access your LinguApp profile on more than one device: simply log in with the same details on the web browser of your phone or your computer.

All your progress will be synced automatically so that you can keep learning from where you’ve left off at any time.

We advise learning on one single device at a time; this will ensure your progress is registered correctly.


You've access only to one language at the same time. Subscribe to LinguApp Premium and access as many languages as you want!

LinguApp does not offer mobile apps service yet. Use the web browser of your phone to access to www.linguapp.com

LinguApp is an e-learning application which helps intermediate/advance learners to practice their reading and listening language skills by sending articles and videos via email.

  1. Visit www.linguapp.com on your mobile phone or computer.

  2. Click on Sign Up in the top right hand corner or "Let's practice" in the middle of the page.

  3. Fill the form, entering a valid email and a password. To have the best experience avoid using university/company emails such "name@university_name" or "name@company_name".

  4. You should get an email to start practicing your favourite language.

  1. If you've already registered to LinguApp, you can log in by visiting www.linguapp.com/login or by clicking the Log in button in the top right corner.

  2. Enter your email and your password and click Login.
If you forgot your password, click on "Forgot your password?" on the login page to reset it.

The top-banner on the Profile page gives you a quick overview about:

  • The next actions to be taken.
  • The status of your subscription.

The next actions can be:

  • Check the incomplete content.
  • Request new content.
  • Complete an activity.

The status of your subscription can be:

  • Paused: the subscription is paused because you decide to have a break.
  • Frozen: the subscription is frozen because you've lost all your Linguos.

The background colour of the banner indicates also the type of learner you are:

  • Consistent learner (Green colour): Congrats! you complete all your contents on time and making a great progress!
  • Lazy learner (Yellow colour): you're being lazy with your practice. You could have started losing Linguos and a short-term action is needed to move to a green status.
  • Unmotivated learner (Red colour): ouch! you don't practice since ages, you lost all your Linguos and your subscription is now frozen. You need to take an immediate action to get back to a green status.

No worries :) just log in into your Account and check the message on the coloured top-banner on your Profile page. The top-banner message'll tell you what's next.


The background colour of the top-banner on the Profile page indicates the type of learner you are:

  • Consistent learner (Green colour): Congrats! you complete all your contents on time and making a great progress!
  • Lazy learner (Yellow colour): you're being lazy with your practice. You could have started losing Linguos and a short-term action is needed to move to a green status.

You can practice the reading skill by reading our articles and the listening skill by watching/listening our videos.

Yes! You can review your completed contents under the box "Completed Contents" located in "My Practice" on your Profile page.

Write the email address of your friend under "Get Rewards" in your Profile page.

Our users can interact indirectly by providing feedback on the activities completed by other users. At the moment we don't enable a direct interaction between users.

Unfortunately at the moment we aren't supporting this feature. We'll update this information as soon as this feature is available.

We apologise about this! This might happen because the link of the website has expired or because the country you're connecting from has blocked the website.

In any case, get new content providing a rate of 1 on that website so that we don't send it to other users.


There a total of 10 interests offered: Business, Cooking, Culture, Education, Wellbeing, History, Personal Development, Science&Tech, Sports and Traveling.

From this list, you can choose between 3 and 6 interests with your Free subscription. Have access to all the 10 interests by subscribing to LinguApp Premium.


Following on from the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR), LinguApp considers intermediate/advance level as Upper Intermediate B2, Advanced C1 and Proficiency C2.

Hence, LinguApp is best suitable for learners who:

  • Aim to acquire those levels.
  • Have acquired any of those levels and want to maintain it without losing fluency.

A relationship between the CEFR and other qualifications such as Cambdrige or IELTS can be found here.


LinguApp offers materials to practice on an unique level, upper intermediate to advance.

Hence, it's not possible to change the level of the practice.


LinguApp is best suitable for upper intermediate and advance language learners. However, if you're a beginner, you can still benefit in being exposed to real articles and videos.

Yes! Answering questions helps us to understand how to improve our service and offer you the best experience ever :)

If you're tired of answering questions, then subscribe to LinguApp Premium and you won't need to answer questions in order to get new content.

It depends on the availability of our users. As rule of thumb, it won't take more than 5 days to get feedback on your activities.

Yes! You won't lose Linguos if you don't complete the activities.

The activities are an optional exercise that you can complete whenever you want (also after getting a new content). You can complete any activity you want by clicking on the "Incomplete" hyperlink on the Activity column.

Find the Activity column on the "Incomplete Contents" and "Complete Contents" boxes located on "My Practice" on your Profile page.


You lose the opportunity on testing your knowledge. Because completing activities is an optional task, not completing an activity doesn't affect to your progress and number of accumulated Linguos.

Unfortunately LinguApp doesn't offer this feature yet. However, if you want to get in touch with the person who corrected your activities, send us an email to hello@linguapp.com and we'll connect you with that person.

If you can't finish an activity on the go, you can do it later when you've more time.

Unfortunately, LinguApp doesn't offer the possibility to save or edit the answers of an activity. Once you submit the answers for an activity, you can't complete the same activity again.

But remember that you can always review the answers that you submitted under the box "My Activities" located in "My Practice" on your Profile page.

You'll receive 5 Linguos if all 3 answers are right, 3 Linguos is two answers are right and 1 Linguo if one answer is right.

There are many benefits! In a nutshell, you can:
  • Test your understanding in the given article and video.
  • Learn from the corrections received by native speakers.
  • Improve your language in the long-term.

By correcting other's you support our language exchange community and so you’ll be able to receive feedback when practicing your favourite language. In addition, you get 5 Linguos every time you correct other's activities.

It's very simple :) Just follow the instructions given in the email which notifies that a LinguApp user needs feedback on the completed activities.

You can access to your activities from:
  • The purple button "Complete activity" from our emails.
  • The "Incomplete" hyperlink on the Activity column. Find the Activity column on the "Incomplete Contents" and "Complete Contents" boxes located on "My Practice" on your Profile page.
  • Then, follow the given instructions to send your activities :)

Yes, you can get access to activities and receive feedback from native speakers if you subscribe to LinguApp Premium.

Click on "Forgot your password?" on the login page. Type in the email you used to sign up. You'll then receive an email with instructions to reset your password. If you don't receive any email, please ensure you entered the correct email address, and double check your spam, junk, promotions and all email folders.

Please note: unfortunately, if you don't remember or you no longer have access to the email address you used to sign up, we won't be able to change it or inform you of what it is. We'll also be unable to restore your password. You'll need to create a new account using a new email address.


The security of your personal information is important to us. All information you provide to us is stored on our secure servers. Please refer to our Privacy Policy for more information on privacy.

We've absolutely no idea why you'd want to do such a thing :) but if you really need to, you can unsubscribe by clicking on the "Unsubscribe" button under the box "Subscription" located in "My Settings" on your Profile page.

If you've subscribed to LinguApp Premium, you need first to unsubscribe from the paid membership by clicking on Unsubscribe from Premium button under the box "Subscription" located in "My Settings" on your Profile page. Then, you'll be able to unsubscribe from LinguApp by clicking on the "Unsubscribe" button under the box "Subscription" located in "My Settings" on your Profile page.

Remember that you'll lose all your records and progress, e.g., accummulated Linguos, Rewards, listening and reading materials, corrections, etc... if you unsubscribe.


Unfortunately LinguApp isn't offering this possibility now. You can just sign up using an email address.

Yes! You can register a new account with the same email after you unsubscribe one time. If you unsubscribe more than one time, you won't be able to use the same email to sign up in the future. You'll need to use a different email if you want to sign up again.

Unfortunately you cannot keep your previous records if you open a new account using your previous email.

Yes! You can change the language to practice under the box "Profile" located in "My Settings". Once you've selected the language(s) of preference, click on the button "Update my profile". Then, type in the reason why you want to update your profile and click on the "Update Profile" button to save the changes.

Yes! You can change the skills to practice under the box "Profile" located in "My Settings". Once you've selected the skill(s) of preference, click on the button "Update my profile". Then, type in the reason why you want to update your profile and click on the "Update Profile" button to save the changes.

If the legislation of your country doesn't allow the access to particular websites, e.g., YouTube, then you won't be able to practice the Listening skills. China is an example where the access to YouTube isn't permitted.

Resume your subscription by clicking on the button "Resume my subscription" under the box "Subscription" that you'll find in "My Settings". Then, type in the reason why you want to resume your subscription and click on the "Resume subscription" button to save the changes.

Sure! You can change the interests on which to practice under the box"Profile" located in "My Settings". Once you've typed the new name and/or email, click on the button "Update my profile". Then, type in the reason why you want to update your profile and click on the "Update Profile" button to save the changes.

Remember that you can choose between 3 and 6 interests. If you subscribe to LinguApp Premium, you'll have access to all 10 interests.

Yes! You can change the frequency to practice by clicking on the button "Change my frequency" under the box "Subscription" that you'll find in "My Settings". Then, type in the reason why you want to change frequency of practice and click on the "Change frequency" button to save the changes.

Remember that you can choose between 3 and 6 days. This means you'll get an email notification from us to practice every 3 or 6 days. If you subscribe to LinguApp Premium, you'll be able to practice every day.

Of course! You can pause your subscription by clicking on the button "Pause my subscription" under the box "Subscription" that you'll find in "My Settings". Then, type in the reason why you want to pause your subscription and click on the "Pause my subscription" button to save the changes.

If you pause your subscription, you won't get frequent email notifications and you won't lose Linguos if you don't practice on time. Remember that if you've subscribed to LinguApp Premium you'll be charged your monthly subscription (5.99€/m) while your subscription is paused.

If you want to avoid being charged during the time of your pause, you'd need to unsubscribe from your paid subscription by clicking on the Unsubscribe from Premium button under the box "Subscription" that you'll find in "My Settings". Once you decide to resume your subscription, you can subscribe again to LinguApp Premium to enjoy the following advantages. Click on "Practice more" in your Profile page to subscribe to LinguApp Premium.


Of course! You can change the name and the email associated to your account under the box "Profile" located in "My Settings". Once you've typed the new name and/or email, click on the button "Update my profile". Then, type in the reason why you want to update your profile and click on the "Update Profile" button to save the changes.

There're two aspects to consider when changing names and emails:

  • Keep names short without surnames.
  • To have the best experience avoid using university/company emails such "name@university_name" or "name@company_name".

LinguApp Premium consists in a monthly recurrent subscription. The payment is automatically charged from the debit/credit card registered on the same day the first purchase was done.

LinguApp accepts the following payment methods:
  • A credit/debit Visa, MasterCard, Maestro or American Express card
  • Google Pay
  • Apple Pay

Remember that after you unsubscribe from LinguApp Premium, you'll still have access to your account, previous reading and listening contents, accumulated Linguos, Rewards, Corrections, etc...

Yes! You can cancel the LinguApp Premium subscription at anytime by clicking on the button "Unsubscribe from Premium" in "My Settings" on your Profile page.

Your LinguApp Premium subscription'll expire automatically after you cancel your membership.

Yes! You'll be still charged if you pause your subscription because you can resume your subscription at anytime.

If you want to pause your LinguApp Premium subscription without being charged follow the next steps:

  1. Cancel your LinguApp Premium subscription by clicking on the button "Unsubscribe from Premium" in "My Settings" on your Profile page.
  2. Pause the service by clicking on the button "Pause my subscription" in "My Settings" on your Profile page.

When resuming your subscription, you'll need to activate the LinguApp Premium subscription again by clicking on "Practice more" in your Profile page.

The LinguApp Premium renew automatically. If you want to cancel your LinguApp Premium subscription, click on the button "Unsubscribe from Premium" in "My Settings" on your Profile page.

The easiest way is to check your bank account statements where you'll see the recurrent payment of your LinguApp Premium subscription. If you want to have the receipt of your payment, please get in touch with us.

We currently use Stripe as our payment getaway for ticket purchases and event payouts. Stripe is used by millions of companies in over 120 countries, including Spotify, Microsoft, and Google. We chose Stripe because:

Yes! You can recover part of the Linguos that you've lost if you answer the questions when requesting new content.

That's not good :( If that's the case, you won't receive more email notifications from us to practice your favourite languages. However, if you decide to get back to the practice, you just need to answer the questions when requesting new content.

Linguos are automatically exchanged by Rewards, so you don't need to do anything :)

Yes! Just answer the questions when requesting new content and you'll keep receiving our email notifications to practice your favourite languages.

If you don't answer the questions when requesting new content, then we'll stop sending your our email notifications.

You need to have Internet connection to access into our website as well as the reading and listening materials. However, there is a work around to access to the reading and listening materials offline. For this, follow these steps:

  1. For practicing the reading skill, save the articles as a pdf as explained here.
  2. For practicing the listening skill, download the videos following these instructions.
  3. Once you saved the articles and videos in your laptop or phone, you can used them offline :)

LinguApp takes abuse very seriously. We will ban someone or remove their account if they refuse to follow the rules and are harming the community. The following can be considered very serious violations:

  • Spamming
  • Hate speech
  • Using offensive language
  • Stalking and bullying
  • Posting inappropriate materials

Please do not report a person if all they're doing is expressing an opinion that you don't like. We don't remove accounts because of points of view we disagree with, as long as they're expressed in a respectful manner without attacking individuals or a group of people.

If you would like to report someone who should have their account removed for breaking the rules, please contact us.


If you think that LinguApp is not behaving as expected, we'd appreciate it if you'd let us know. We collect bug reports sent by users to detect emergencies and other issues.

Please note that bug reports not always get a personalized follow-up reply, but they are monitored by our developers and help us improve the experience for all our users. You can report a bug directly to us by sending an email to hello@linguapp.com.

Please consider making it as detailed as possible, including device, email address, describing the action you were taking when the issue occurred and also taking a screenshot to include in the report.

If you forgot the email you used to sign up, type "LinguApp" in the search bar of your email account.

If you don't find any email from "LinguApp" then you'll need to create a new account using a new email address.

We've absolutely no idea why you'd want to do such a thing :) but if you really need to, you can unsubscribe completely from LinguApp. However, bear in mind you'll lose all your records and progress, e.g., accummulated Linguos, Rewards, listening and reading materials, corrections, etc...

But don't get confused! This doesn't apply when if you cancel a paid membership. You'll keep all your records when you cancel your paid membership (LinguApp Premium).


f you are getting emails from us, but have not intended to create an account on LinguApp, someone else might have entered your email address when they made their account. Luckily you have full control over the account now and have the right to disable it by verifying that you are the email holder. Simply follow these steps to deactivate the fraudulent account:

  1. Go to our Login page and click on "Forgot my password?".
  2. Type in your email.
  3. Check your inbox and follow the link to reset your password.
  4. Choose a new password and continue to LinguApp, signed in to the account.
  5. Click on the
  6. "Unsubscribe" button under the box "Subscription" located in "My Settings" on the Profile page.
  7. Type in the reason why you want to unsubscribe and click on the "Unsubscribe" button to save the changes.

When creating a LinguApp account, it is imperative to use your own email, not a made up one or someone else's. Creating an account under an email address that is not your own will make it impossible for you to recover a lost password and receive notifications, and also allow someone else to take control of the account and delete it. An account made with an email address other than your own risks deletion at any time, without previous notice.
